This the intermediate level — same basic platform, but with mild upgrades.

• Start tuning suspension plates, springs, and tires for different track conditions.

• Use better batteries and a higher-quality radio (like a Flysky NB4 or Radiomaster MT12). 

Here, you’ll learn about car setup — how tires, ride height, and suspension affect handling. 

You’ll also experience faster racing and tighter competition. 

The Goal: Improve consistency, understand setup basics, and start competing for podiums.

Progress to “Modified (Mod)” Class

The Mod class is where the top local and national racers compete. 

It’s much faster and requires real precision.

GEAR RATIO

• Any manufacturer pinion and spur allowed

• Tooth count must be distinguishable by markings or color for easy tech

• All gears must be Pre-Event teched and painted

WHEELS

• All brand plastic and aluminum 1/28 scale production wheels allowed

• Size specifications:

• Wheels must be original designs made for 1/28 scale cars

BATTERIES

• 2-cell LiPo or 2 one-cells paralleled (maximum 8.4 volts)
