We aim to run a smooth event for all who attend. To that end, we use a standardized format for all of Point Series events. Here are the details. If you have any questions, please speak with a club officer.
Standard Classes:
Our regular Point Series events support four club classes. You can see the details of these classes and all of our other classes here.
Mini-Z Rookie 50% - for newer drivers only.
Mini-Z Box Stock - our most popular class. Open to all skill levels.
2500kv 10t Hardbody - the class to go a little faster and tune more.
Formula 1 - the class for hardcore enthusiasts.
Mini-Z Rookie: 50% participation is reserved for newer drivers only, and those who elect to participate in other classes cannot drive in Rookie.
General Program:
We recognize that racing is racing and that sometimes tweaks need to be made during the event. But we do our best to stick to a set schedule and be respectful of everyone's personal schedules.
Doors open for Setup at 12:00 pm - the more help we get, the sooner we can start practice!
Structured Practice starts as soon as setup is complete and runs until 3:45 pm.
We split up practice into 30-minute speed-specific sections to provide clean track time.
Our Drivers Meeting starts at 3:45 pm and runs until 4:00 pm.
Racing Program starts promptly at 4:00 pm and runs until completion.
We take a 10-minute break between each qualifying round and the start of mains.
After racing concludes, we Tear Down by disassembling and storing the track.
We appreciate everyone's help wrapping up and aim to be done around 7:00 pm.
Racing Program:
Our Racing Program focuses on efficiency, ample track time for all, and most importantly, maximum fun!
We run two Qualifier rounds. Each qualifier begins with a rolling start and lasts 5 minutes.
At the discretion of the Race Director, qualifiers can be shortened to 4 minutes.
Each heat will have up to 4 drivers (maximum of 5 if needed).
Each Main begins with a heads-up start and runs for 7 minutes
